It's pretty competitive, so we'll see. I'll find out if I got it when I receive my letter of acceptance.

It is an honor to be nominated...But I really want this!
So, I went to a manditory meeting this evening for students heading to Asia this year, and my adviser came up to me and brought some good news. Apparently, Chuo decided to nominate me for the JASSO scholarship. This does not mean I'll get it, but it's really good to know there is a chance I could. The JASSO scholarship gives students about $1000 to help you settle into your new accomodations (and travel reinbursement) and then pays you $800 a month just for being a study abroad student!
